About the Yeshiva
There is a uniquely warm ruach at Yeshiva Mercaz HaTorah
It can be felt in the close inter-personal relationships formed between the rebbeim and the bochurim, as well as in the atmosphere of achdus and camaraderie that permeates the yeshiva. This warm atmosphere is not only conducive to success in learning; it also enables the bochurim to develop lifelong relationships with their rebbeim and friends.
The rebbeim live in the neighborhood of the Yeshiva and return to the Beis Medrash for night seder, further cementing their warm kesher with the bochurim. They assist the bochurim during chazara sessions and answer probing sheilos about the sugya. Each shiur generates a level of energy usually felt in much larger yeshivos, while at the same time allowing for a strong kesher to be built between rebbe and talmid. In addition, the rebbeim are readily available for any personal issue a bochur may wish to discuss.
High School Limudei Kodesh Program
As the bochurim progress to the higher grades, the shiurim become more lomdishe. Yeshiva Mercaz HaTorah sets high expectations motivating bochurim to advance in their limud HaTorah. The Yeshiva encourages Beis Medrash bochurim to learn with younger bochurim and this program serves as an added impetus to achieve greater heights.
The Beis Medrash Program
Upon completion of 12th grade, the bochurim advance to Yeshiva Mercaz HaTorah’s Beis Medrash. This is an intensive, three-year program that takes the fundamental tools and skills they have acquired to a deeper level, under the active tutelage of the Rosh Yeshiva. Following the Beis Medrash program, the talmidim continue their learning in leading Yeshivos in Eretz Yisroel.
Building Generations of Leaders in Klal Yisroel
Yeshiva Mercaz HaTorah is particularly proud of its prestigious alumni who have gone on to become chashuve yungerleit, rebbeim and prosperous businessmen. They share a common thread in that they all treasure the close kesher they developed with the Yeshiva. Thanks to the devotion and varmkeit of the Rosh Yeshiva and rebbeim, the bonds forged at Yeshiva Mercaz HaTorah remain in place long after the talmidim have left. Alumni continue to seek eitzos from the Rosh Yeshiva and the rebbeim on an ongoing basis. This unique and lasting relationship formed between the Yeshiva and its talmidim is a hallmark of Yeshiva Mercaz HaTorah – and a guarantee of an even brighter future.
